Celebs wearing clothes in the wild is such a rabbit hole! Carrie's style was always about the attitude + a commitment to experimentation. Such a great reminder to not take things too seriously and not forget how to 'play'...even as an adult.
The candid look of the celeb paparazzi photos makes them feel especially appealing and attainable. Jennifer Lawrence’s looks are all over my Pinterest boards!
Right? I feel like it’s better than, even, the same look posed because all the brands would be tagged and I’d be blinded by The Row label instead of seeing it as just a pair of black trousers!
I've been following Kaia Gerber's street style account for this exact reason lol partially bc I like some of the clothes and partially bc it helps me remember that fashion IG fits =/ everyday fits and it's ok to put on some shirt and some pant and get out of the door haha
oh i have absoLUTEly walked that floss-sized line on celebmafia before hahahah. one that feels maybe less creepy is getty images? or probably i am lying to myself. i just like to see clothes on bodies, in regular styling situations ok!! have little pinterest boards for katie holmes and the olsens for this exact purpose. love dakota johnson too as someone mentioned, but she has legs for days so it doesn't translate usually. katie holmes' outfits feel so accessible for some reason!
Kelly this is sooo good! You and I have such similar minds! I was literally thinking about doing a similar post on street style because a lot of my 'saves' these days have been Jennifer Lawrence and Kendall Jenner paparazzi pics. Like you pointed out, I like how these types of pictures feel a little more relatable. For me, it's the fact that they're going from one place to another - they're living in their clothes vs. it being a post/reel about items they were gifted (and you have a feeling they're taking it off right after!)
Yes!! You make such a good point; genuine street style pictures are of a person out living in their clothes. The clothes are falling naturally and not being pinned in some secret way (as with posed shots). Also, our bodies are moving naturally rather than being posed and sucked in. I love that we are on the same wave-length!
I really think I need to start wearing a baseball cap. I have so many street style pictures saved that include one but I always feel like a bit of a wanker when I wear one IRL.
Ha! Greta, I agree! But then again I used to think a middle part looked insane on me. Perhaps we just have to exposure-therapy ourselves into it so we can take advantage of how chic a ball cap really is.
I am forever appreciative of you. There’s just SOMETHING about looking at celebrities (who can access most brands at any time) to see what they are TRULY wearing.

YES! Kaia is great inspo especially because she does outfit repeating so well!
Celeb street style is my fav hobby lol! Love this!
I’m so glad I’m not alone! Do I feel a little creepy? Sure but it’s worth it 😂
I love celeb street style because it reminds me that celebs don't always wear couture and the items that they wear are sometimes in my closet already!
Right?! Who among us doesn’t have a white tee shirt? And yet seeing Kendall Jenner wear one over and over is a reminder that we can too.

Yes!! There is something about KH that feels like the every woman. She also is VERY good at elevating sweatpants, which is something I love to see 😉

Oh my absolute favourite celeb style is Dakota Johnson. So chic, so beautiful, so down to earth!
She has such a unique style too, a real 70s vibe that I love!

Very true!
Kendall's black jeans, tee and belt decidedly spoke to me. But I'd be looking for another style tee for myself! Whatever. Nice source of inspiration!
I agree, I’m going to need something a little less fitted. And yet how simple and effective an outfit!!
