I think you made the right call with BR top…I had one like that from Zara last year in cream and I never wore it for the same reason!
I just bought the brown suede Zara blazer I included in my ss24 ring 3 newsletter! What made me do it? I liked the colour! I remember trying on the mango knock off the suede Prada cognac blazer in September and although it looked good, it felt cheaply made. The Zara one is plush and lined and I like it :).
This is exactly what I want to read… thank you for sharing! I feel the same way as you do about friends sending a little text-I always wanna see what my people are buying 😊also, excellent poshmarking!
new subscriber here and i'm so glad i found your page!! i found your Substack while questioning my own consumer habits and wanting to be inspired by other fashion lovers but not only influencers looking to sell me things. i absolutely love your metallic ballet flats. i recently saw a silver pair of Mary Janes on Aeyde's website that i am 90% convinced i have to buy. The steep price tag is making me think twice though so in the meantime I'll live vicariously through your new shoes!
I love your honesty and what influences you and I like being in your (lovely) head as you evaluate! Thank you for this. I am currently on my 1-item March home stretch.... The last thing I bought is 2 little pearl bracelets ... they were nail art! xoxoxo
love this! my favorite has been taking mental pictures of what people are wearing in the streets and then searching specifically for something that looks like those items I saw instead of getting caught up in other stuff that looks cute online
LOVE the drop waist dress on both you and Irene! And you're totally rocking the barrel jeans ... it's such an interesting in-the-best-way fitted/loose shape. Those Zara flats are such a great find. I've been dawdling on glove flats from my wishlist ... but maybe looking for them in a fun color will inspire action :D
Brown is such a lovely colour for trousers...I didn't like it much when I lived it a year-round summer climate, but I love it for fall and winter!
I don't use Pinterest much so my main social media influences are still IG and YT, but the things I've bought recently feel more specific to me and are usually something I've wanted for a while. Last week, I bought a dress by Dries Van Noten on Vestiaire (it is still on the way) from a collection I adored that I am constantly scouring the internet for. I almost didn't buy it because it was expensive and Dries prints are difficult for me to pull off, but then he announced his retirement and I'm glad I did. We'll see whether it works out!
I'm a bit disappointed that it's only March and I've bought 3 things already...so much for my five-piece shopping goal! But I'm really enjoying having this goal to work with because I think it has shifted my shopping mentality -- I am still buying things but I no longer buy things just to scratch an itch to buy something, which was a massive problem for me!
Those Everlane jeans look amazing on you! I love them styled with the girlie top for contrast. I am so excited about finding the Tibi lantern skirt in white (really cream) cotton poplin on the TibiFans ISO IG channel. Can’t wait to wear it in so many ways all summer (and fall, and winter…).
The brown jeans look so great, I love those! And the Etsy necklace is super fun. Etsy is THE spot for jewelry. My most recent purchase was the doen rosaria dress (yesterday). It was out of stock for a long time, and I had tried to buy off of eBay a couple months ago but was scammed 👎. Lol, so I bought very quickly, especially for it being my most expensive purchase ever🫣

Kelly! LOVE the Everlane brown jeans on you. Can I ask what length you got them in? Also, love the Zara dress inspired by Irene. So good!
