Fashion things from me lately
In lieu of an introduction my title should suffice for what this email is; things that have caught my eye as of late in no particular order!
I saw this outfit in a marketing email for St. Agni the other day and I’m smitten with the causal white tee (this feels like a less expensive alternative) combined with the elevated mini skirt and tote. I’d pair this look with a “pop of color” shoe. Did I immediately set a second hand search for St. Agni? Duh.

I realized this look reminds me of an outfit that
shared that I still think about regularly.Speaking of styled images, the White Lotus collab sent me looking around on Banana Republic and I fell in love with this image.
It sent me straight to Poshmark looking for a plain black baseball cap. I also decided to give those jeans a try (along with this cotton sweater and THE fisherman pants since everything is 40% off right now).
and both brought this Instagram account to my attention and I am mesmerized. I want all these knits in my real life closet STAT.Sidsel Alling posted this photo in November (I just found it) and I love the button-down under the blazer (s/o
and ) with the statement belt.Another outfit I took a screengrab of from Leset. I saw this a few days after
helped unlock the power of using a regular long-sleeve shirt as a shoulder layer. I love that the model has two tees layered as well!
My Substack feed delivered me this post by
which was chock full of great maternity style inspiration. (Also, did we all see that announced she was pregnant? Where was her YouTube Video about first trimester fashion 8 years ago?!) I did a deep dive on Janelle’s page and found this very fabulous photo of her with colored socks under fisherman sandals which I immediately recreated.I have long been obsessed with the personalized Bode tote that Kendall Jenner showed off in her 7 Days, 7 Looks for Vogue India.
Well I found an incredibly talented artist on Etsy named Mack Vaillancourt who I commissioned to make me my own version. It turned out better than I could have imagined and cost 1/6th the price of the Bode version!

Has anyone else watched the trailer for the upcoming movie starring Dakota Johnson called Materialists? The trailer hit my millennial nostalgia because it felt 2000s rom-com. But Dakota’s costumes in the trailer had me excited and I predict we will be fawning over them like Nobody Wants This.
wrote about how the best movie/tv outfits existed in the 2000s (this is a great read) and I have to say that this show is going to give her theory a run for it’s money.A few of my favorite outfits of recent. I have forthcoming thoughts on what I’m calling my 2025 rebrand- including the necklace that I’m making my signature piece- so stay tuned.

This last one is a special win because I was really struggling to get dressed this day. My skin was acting up and my hair was greasy. I was about to give up on trying to create an “outfit” when this came together. Small wins people!
I wanted to leave you with a psychological phenomenon that my friend was telling me about called the Diderot effect.
The idea behind the Diderot effect is that when we buy one new thing it can often lead to a spiral of consumption. We buy a new pair of shoes AND new pants to wear with it AND a new shirt while we’re at it! Each new item makes you feel like you need other new things to either go with it or keep up with it. I know I am guilty of this feeling!
I’ve written before about how I will upload items into my Indyx before I buy them to practice making outfits with my real wardrobe. I also loved this post by
about making 18 outfits with 1 jacket!!A practice I’m forcing on myself so far in 2025. Once I buy something, I try to wear it 3-5 times in the first few weeks after it arrives. Honestly, each item you buy should feel exciting and make you want to wear it. In a perfect world, new items unlock new parts of your wardrobe. If you don’t feel excited to rewear it right away, well, then it’s probably not a keeper.
I’ve found that by rewearing a new piece multiple times right after getting it sets a mental reminder to myself that it’s a good addition to my wardrobe. I really wanted a pair of- what I call- Hero Pants for months (I first wrote about it here in 2023!). I finally purchased and, frankly, I can’t stop wearing them.

ok the hand drawn bode-inspired tote is gorgeous. new level of personalization = unlocked !! such a cool idea. also love the brain dump format of this letter. 🧠 ✨
Omg that bag!! Ok I need another bag like a whole in the head but this also seems like a bag that would be so amazing! What a delightful idea! Also what is this necklace I am peeping? 👀👀👀
I love the wear 3-5 times idea. So wise!
