UnFussy Dressing
Plus my 2/3 rule
Confession: my life is not terribly exciting. I follower certain influencers who seem to be traveling to Europe every other week or invited to fancy dinners on the regular. Sadly, for me, my weekly schedule is pretty tame coupled with an occasional date night or dinner with friends. I often need to remind myself of this fact when I am making my shopping wish list. As much as I want to wear a sheer maxi dress with some great peaking undergarments or great “going out top",” it’s really not very likely to be worn.
Recently I started taking screenshots of streetstyle images by Kendall Jenner and Hailey Bieber (I have no problem admitting I love these Vanilla Girl styles) and I was struck by how perfectly un-fussy and translatable their outfits were for daily life.

The thing that I love and adore about these snaps is how simple these outfits are and yet there is something about them that reads style. I was recently at a professional baseball game and saw girls everywhere in tiny shorts and shirts. The difference here is that tiny shirts are paired with dad jeans and tiny shorts are paired with oversized tops.
I recall seeing “is it fashion or is she just skinny?” videos that heavily feature Ms. Jenner and while I totally acknowledge skinny privilege, no one can tell me that oversized blazer/no pants look wouldn’t look good on any size!
When I’m getting dressed on a daily basis, I try to keep a 2/3rd rule in my mind. When thinking about HAIR- MAKE UP- OUTFIT, you can remain unfussy if you only do 2 of the 3. My absolute favorite TikTok-ers who do unfussy so well are LarissaMills and IlanaTorbiner.
Here was my unfussy outfit at the aforementioned baseball game.
